Open Space Training

Open Space Training

Working with the Open Space principles is fundamentally different from traditional approaches. Over the years, members of boscop have therefore developed specialized training concepts.

In our Open Space trainings, we offer the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of Open Space. Our approach follows the inner logic of Open Space and consistently focuses on experiential and self-organized learning.

Whether six-, four-, three-, or two-day sessions: in our training formats, we deliberately minimize external input as much as possible and offer a learning process that relies entirely on the diversity of existing knowledge and the power of self-organization. As all participants navigate the learning space in a self-directed and self-organized manner, the potential of self-organization becomes tangible.

Participants in our training sessions
» learn the prerequisites for an Open Space,
» experience an Open Space preparatory meeting,
» experience an Open Space under the title developed in the preparatory meeting,
» reflect on the Open Space experience in a second “Open Space on Open Space,”
» practice—though only in our 5–6-day formats—preparing an Open Space event
as well as facilitating it in an Open Space session titled “Me, the Open Space Facilitator,”
» and transfer their Open Space experiences to their own practice as part of an Open Space action plan.

In shorter Opens Space workshops, combining knowledge transfer with practice and reflection, you can get acquainted with the method for the first time, or deepen or update your knowledge.

We offer in-house training sessions and workshops in the context of human resources and/or organizational development, which are planned in collaboration with you to meet your specific needs and circumstances. From time to time, we offer open sessions designed to promote and deepen the Open Space experience.
